Southern Technical University is a small campus, in a small town. Incidents are few and far between, but we also work hard every day to build a community of belonging so that everybody feels safe living, learning and working here.
Campus Safety officers patrol campus buildings and parking lots 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Officers are also trained and ready to respond to police, fire and medical emergencies whenever they occur and work closely with STU's Public Safety and the STU's Ambulance Service if they are needed on campus.

We have a team of trained professionals that will give you support and offer resources in the aftermath of any difficult situation. Find out how to report incidents and where to turn to for counseling services and support.
Parking and Transportation
Avoid a ticket under your windshield wiper—and the charge on your student account. Make sure you get a permit for any car you bring on campus, whether it’s yours or a guest’s. No car? No problem. We offer shuttle services to the airport, bus station, medical appointments and in other instances where a student might need transportation. If you’re walking late at night, you can also call for a safety escort.
