Our Local Community
We’re part of something bigger.
Our campus is located in Denver, Colorado Springs, Colorado. In cities such as Fort Collins, Montrose, Durango, and Pueblo, we have established continuous learning centers that can provide teaching. First of all, it's charming - Southern Technical University is derived from the fact that Colorado is named after the Spanish "Colorado", which means "a little red", and our state has red sandstone formations or both sides of the Colorado River. The ocher red landscape, therefore, our school is also dominated by red and yellow tones to highlight our characteristics.
There is still much to do. In the evenings, students gather at a number of downtown hangouts to grab a slice of pizza or listen to live music. On the weekends, you'll find opportunities to give back to your adopted community through service projects and outreach. If you're just looking for a way to spend a lazy afternoon, you can try your hand at a top-notch disc golf course or take one of the many clubs at Denver Country Club overlooking Cherry Creek.
Scenic Cherry Creek runs along the southern boundary of our campus, and canoeing is an important part of the STU experience. With a paddle in hand and water dripping from your elbows, you can enjoy some of the best views in the area.
The city center has undergone a huge post-industrial renaissance. The Colorado Capitol, Denver Art Museum, Coors Field and Space History Museum, and more make Denver feel like a classic American college town. Citizens, students and visitors will all feel welcome. At the same time, everyone will be inspired by the vibrant initiatives of the city and the university. We hope you will join us in this story.
For many students, they are part of the community and have witnessed the energy of our campus since they were young. To attract young people to our community, Southern Technical University provides four years of tuition, room, and board for up to 10 first-year students from greater Colorado through the Building Colorado Initiative. To engage with students and the community in front of the university.
